詹詠然、辛吉絲(Martina Hingis)拿下美網冠軍後，接下來將力拼本季最後一項賽事WTA新加坡年終賽，過往詹詠然搭配詹皓晴，於2015、2016年連兩屆敗給辛吉絲，本屆大詹、辛組隊參賽，有望再添一冠，為本季畫下完美句點。

詹詠然過去搭配詹皓晴，於2015、2016年連兩年闖進年終賽，不過兩屆都敗給辛吉絲／米爾莎(Sania Mirza)組合，無緣創佳績，本屆詹詠然該與辛吉絲搭配，自2月起雖然在中東的兩戰連續失利，但接下來印地安泉、馬德里、羅馬公開賽、馬約卡國際賽及伊斯特本頂級賽中，接連獲得5座女雙冠軍。

接著還取得法網四強、溫網八強的成績，於上個月15日，成為繼俄羅斯組合瑪卡洛娃(Ekaterina Makarova)/薇絲妮娜(Elena Vesnina)後，第二組提前取得年終資格的隊伍。

幾天前，詹／辛拿下搭擋以來首座大滿貫金盃美網女雙冠軍，詹詠然雙打排名也上升至生涯新高第三名，搭擋排名第二的辛吉絲，兩人對10月份的年終賽可說是來勢洶洶。
